Amazon works closely with its carriers to provide a competitive delivery experience for our customers. Exact delivery charges are determined at the time of checkout based on the number of items, item type, weight and volume of all the items in the basket, but basic guidelines for estimating delivery costs have been provided below for your reference.

The total delivery cost is calculated by adding the “Per Delivery” cost and the “Per Item” or “Per kg” cost. “Per Item” costs are applied to the number of items and “Per kg” are applied to the actual weight (listed as delivery weight) and dimensional weight (delivery package dimensions – space that the item will take up in a delivery vehicle).

During the checkout process, you’ll be given the option to choose how your items are delivered. The list of delivery options and the estimated delivery date can vary depending on a variety of factors including product weight, product size and delivery address. If you don’t see a particular delivery option, then it’s not available for your order. If you choose the “Group my items into as few deliveries as possible option”, you’ll be charged the amount quoted at checkout for delivery. If you choose the “I want my items faster. Dispatch items as they become available” option, the delivery amount displayed when you place your order shows how much you’ll pay if each item dispatches separately. We try to dispatch items together as much as possible, so your actual delivery total will usually be less than the estimate.

Orders may be delivered by various carriers but it isn’t possible to choose which carrier will deliver your order.

Some larger items may be subject to a fixed delivery charge. Where this is the case, the fixed delivery charge will be clearly stated on the product detail page.

VAT is charged on delivery rates for goods delivered within the European Union (EU). The delivery rates listed above are inclusive of any applicable VAT. When you place your order the summary page will display the VAT charged on your delivery rate. Under EU VAT legislation certain Book items (such as audio books) aren’t eligible for lower-rate VAT, and in those cases the standard VAT rate will apply. If your delivery address is outside of the European Union, you may also be subject to customs charges. For more information please see our Customs page.

When a delivery is made in the Canary Islands, Ceuta and Melilla, it’s important to enter your NIF / CIF number so that your order can be successfully delivered. When you enter your delivery address please add your NIF / CIF number to Address Line 2. If you’ve already included address information in this field, add a comma and then your CIF / NIF number in the following format: 12345678A.
