Growing competition between producers and traders on pulses market is the trend of the last years – Shtef Freight Management
The competition between producers and traders were growing on the Black Sea market of grains and pulses in the recent seasons, declared the Director of Shtef Freight Management, Alexander Shtefanetz within the online conference NICHE: FOCUS ON PULSES on July 30.
“Russia pressures on prices sharply. When it comes to the market, Russia lowers its prices of pulses by 5-7 USD. It makes Russian products more attractive compared to the Ukrainian. So it is necessary to be able to compete”, – he said.
He mentioned that the logistics changed significantly and turned to be more diversified in Ukraine in the last years.
“Today, there are eight different types of logistics. Depending on location of grain, destination country and port, line, you can choose this or that shipping type. However, I suppose that the synchronization of import and export and avoiding of the dead mileage is the most proper way for successful competition”, – the expert pointed out.
