The Barbados Shop Shipping
New Shipping Update
Items are posted every two weeks. Owing to policies of surface mail parcels going to the USA and Canada leave the island every two weeks ( on Friday of the week). So that items are not out of care while not in transit for too long items are posted / delivered to the Barbados post office the week of dispatch from Barbados.
The Barbados Shop can ship to virtually any address in the world. When you’ve place an order, we will estimate shipping costs and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping provider selected, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page.
Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound.
The shipping methods available are: Surface Mail option – for parcels to the USA and Canada. The option of surface mail can take up to 4-8 weeks to be delivered depending on the country to which the parcel .
Parcel Post Mail option – – for parcels to the Caribbean, United Kingdom, Europe, Asia, Africa and rest of the world. This method takes as little as 3 -8 weeks depending on the distance of the destination country.

As a customer you may track your order as it is being processed for posting through your store account. After your package has been posted, depending on the shipping method selected, customers with parcels going to the USA may track using postal websites – USPS.com and customers with parcels going to Canada can track their package at http://www.canadapost.ca/cpo/mc/default.jsf?LOCALE=en .
Parcels to the UK and other Europe may use www.parcelforce.com to track their package. Parcels to any country can be traced, especially if tracking information for these websites is not yet available at the Barbados Postal Service webiste : http://barbadospostal.com/consumerservices/tracktrace.html
* The shipping delivery time-frame provided for by the BPS (Barbados Postal Service) for each shipping method is an estimate only. Once we have posted the item using your preferred shipping method we have no control over how long it takes to be delivered.
There are also some Bank Holidays during the year that may slow the shipping process for a few days, depending on what day the holiday falls. See below for the remaining Bank Holidays for 2015:

December – with all of the holiday posting, parcels are usually delayed by the volume shipping companies encounter during this month.
The Barbados Shop Returns Policy
You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We’ll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
If you need to return an item to The Barbados Shop, simply login to your account, view the order using the “Complete Orders” link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We’ll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we’ve received and processed the returned item.
Note, after packages have been dispatched for posting, orders cannot be cancelled, customers may however, return the package (see returns as outlined above.). Customers may cancel an order within the cancellation period 2 hours after their purchase.
